Hello,

We are planning to purchase the S2 Survey license for our academic project, which is being conducted in two countries. We are using two versions of the same survey for each country with slight differences and different language versions, and currently, in the unpaid version, we noticed that changes made in one project sometimes affect the other -even though we created two separate projects.

1) Will this also happen with S2 Survey, or will we be able to manage two separate surveys independently under the same license?

2)Regarding the number of respondents: When purchasing a license, does this number refer to the number of completed surveys only, or does every click or partial response count toward the respondent limit?

Thank you in advance for your support!

It is often of advantage to use the multi-language feature instead of separate questionnaires or even survey projects. Filters and the ~ symbol in texts also allow to display different questions and/or items for each language.

That said, it does not matter regarding the licence. You can run multiple surveys with one licence, or use multiple licences for the same survey.

The licence will count every case in your dataset that has collected at least a few responses. It won't count those who just visit the welcome page, but those who clicked through two or three pages and then dropped out.

Thank you very much for your reply!

Our survey will be conducted in both Germany and Israel, with separate language versions tailored to each country. Since the questionnaires also differ slightly, we are unable to manage it as a single project using the multi-language feature. We just wanted to clarify whether it would still be possible to carry this out under one S2Survey license.

Thank you for your feedback in advance!

It is. I thought I already had answered that above, but it seems my wording was unclear, sorry.

Using the getLanguage() function allows for filters, and the tilde (~) allows to omit items in one version or the other. And then, you can also create multiple questionnaires within one survey project. I surely don't want to talk you into a single-project solution. However, from my experience, managing separate surveys goes along with additional efforts.

Thank you for your useful comments! We needed this information before we could buy the best product for our project.
