Funding student, do I work for a company?

Dear Sir/Madam
I'm currently a PhD student and would like to use your software to collect my data. I am a funded student from a UK research council (ESRC). Does this research council count as a company. the results will be published under my name only, although the funder will be acknowledged, and the results made freely available to the public.

To my knowledge, ESRC is not an profit-oriented company, therefore that shall not be an issue here. And I assume that you are funded for doing your thesis, not for the implementation of a contracted study. So, you're welcome to use our service on www.soscisurvey.de for free.
