How do I add other Users to my project?

I already got the answer that we need to be on the same domain/server, but we are all working at the same institution with the difference that I have a student account while they have an employees account. How can I solve it? I want to give them access to my project, without having to create a new account.

I assume you already followed the manual Shared Access to Projects.

At which point does it not work as expected?
