I have a questionnaire with some items marked as 'inverted'. I use a 'single item' response array where participants have to click on 1 of 6 response alternatives. With regular (non-inverted) items that works fine: A mouse click fills the circle (in blue color).
With INVERTED items, it also works if you click right on the circle/button. But if you click on the text above that response button, the cursor (blue point) JUMPS to the opposite response option.
Has anyone observed that strange behaviour? And is there a solution other than simply NOT inverting items a priori, but doing that in the data analysis, later?
I'd appreciate a hint. There is no way I am the first to encounter that problem,
Thanks!
