(How) can I retrospectively change the base language?

I have developed a survey with English as a base language, and then added other languages later. Now, I would like to remove English, but for that, have to change the base language. Can this be done, and how?

Answer 1

First, export your survey project as XML (see Copying a Survey).

Second, create a new survey project with the "new" base language and the additional language versions.

Third, import your XML into the new project, but do not check to option to import the language settings.

The advantage of creating a second project: If anything goes wrong, your original project is still there ;)
