Hi, what exactly do POST/GET variables refer to ? What to enter as 'variable names'?

I am interested in running a multiple part study on prolific and therefore need to keep track on URL parameters. By creating the question type "device and request variables", I wonder what POST/GET variables refer to and (in consequence) what 'variable names' mean here.

Now you need to know what link Prolific gives to the respondents. It will probably contain one or more variables that Prolific has added to your survey link, e.g.: https://www.soscisurvey.de/PROJECT/?x=123&y=345.

In this example, the variables would be x and y. This is what you enter in the "device and request variables" questions, and then you drag it on the first page of your questionnaire.
