Evaluation - Reference "1=checked, 2=not checked"

Hello!
I am about to do the evaluation of my survey.

I had one question with 4 options to choose. The evaluation paper now gives me answers within those 4 options, numbered with 1 or 2. 1 seems to be "checked", while 2 means "not checked".

I don't know what this means and how I could evaluate this declarations. Can anybody help me out here?

Well, most likely you have been using a multipl choice question that allows to select no, one, or multiple of the 4 options.

Therefore, each option has it's own variable that can be 1 (not checked) or 2 (checked).

You can find the coding in (a) the variable listing in SoSci Survey and (b) in the manual.

If you actually intended that respondents chose only one option, you may want to recode the 4 variables into Item (Mehrfachantwort) wird in SPSS aufgegliedert.
