cannot import an archived survey to a new survey I created

Hello,

I'm trying to import a survey I have archived to a new survey I created.
I have downloaded it as an XML and then went to the new project I created and clicked on 'import data' and tried to import the XML from there but I got this message: "The file must contain the variable labels as the first line.

Since there are no variable labels, the file cannot be imported."

what should I change? Is there a better way to view my previous survey?

Please do NOT import data, but go to Survey Project -> Project Settings and below Export Project select Import Project or Questions.
