Video without timeline

Dear SoSci Survey Online Support,

I want to program my videos so that one can not see the timeline below the video as I would like to make the participants believe that the videos are being streamed live. Is it possible to fade out the timeline in a video? And is there any possibility to make it look like the video is being streamed live?

The HTML5 Video documentation shows a lot of options to use when embedding videos.

The easiest soltion woul be to omit the controls attribute in the <video> tag. If you did not yet write HTML code to embed the video, start with this manual, please: Embedding Videos.
