Hello everyone,

I’ve created two separate SoSci Survey projects that are almost identical in structure. The only difference lies in the middle part: there are two groups, and each group sees different video clips. All other elements (scales, introductory and demographic questions) are the same.

Group A sees Clip 1, Clip 2, and Clip 3 – each followed by a specific question (F1, F2, F3)

Group B sees Clip 4, Clip 5, and Clip 6 – each followed by different questions (F4, F5, F6)

After each clip, both groups complete the same scale

At the end, both groups answer identical sociodemographic questions

So the structure looks like this:

Clip 1 or 4 → group-specific question → shared scale
Clip 2 or 5 → group-specific question → shared scale
Clip 3 or 6 → group-specific question → shared scale

Right now, I’ve implemented this as two separate projects (with two different URLs), because I honestly couldn’t figure out how to build it differently within one project.

But now I would like to have just one link, and have SoSci randomly assign participants to either Group A or Group B – so essentially, a single entry point that redirects participants to one of the two projects.

Is that possible in SoSci Survey?
And if yes: What’s the best way to set this up technically, so the randomization and redirect work reliably?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!
Best regards,
Marina
