Dear Community,

My survey is almost ready to be distributed online. However, knowing that many respondents might use their smarphones to answer, I need it to be appropriately displayed on mobile.
My survey mostly has likert-scales questions. The problem is that the items are compressed which causes each setnence to be displayed in multiple lines (1 word per line approx.).

Any idea on how to make sure that sentences are not cut after each word?

Thanks!

Did you already read the manual on responsive layout?

One important setting is to select the "dynamic" layout in the scale questions. This is the default for new questions, but may be set to "static" if you imported old questions from another project.

If it's not that setting that causes trouble, please post a pretest URL directly (!) to the first page with the issues, and we shall take a look.

Perhaps is it feasible to increase the width of the column for items?
The pretest links for my 6 surveys are pasted below, but you might use Q5 or 6, as it contains the same questions as Q1,2,3,4 and additional questions.
One more major issue I notice right now, is that on mobile, the "lead text for items" repeats itself for each item of a question, which gets annoying for the respondents.
Appreciate your help, thanks!

I watched the first page on Q5, and it looks good on a smartphone, as far as I can tell?! The radio button move below the item text, which fills the whole width of the page.

Yes, that is intended, because you won't know the text from the page's top, when you scrolled it out of view for 10 pages.

If you think that the text should not be repeated, you may understand it as some kind of "instruction" instead of a "lead text for items", maybe?
