API Internal Server Error (HTTP 500)

Question

I have been retrieving my project data via API using the "soscisurvey" R package. This worked perfectly until today. Now I keep receiving the error message "Error in soscisurvey::read_sosci(API) : Internal Server Error (HTTP 500).".
As it is a server error, I guess it is about access to the data, not about the package.
Creating a new API and switching to that one yielded the same error.
Can you help me identify the underlying problem?
