Hi SoSci Survey Team,

Is there a record that is kept of the pressing of the "Next" button (i.e., was it pressed or not)? It doesn't appear in the data...

Thank you,

The page content is not sent unless the "next" button is pressed or the page is submitted via JavaScript. Also will there be not TIME*-Value for the respective page.

Theoretically, you could use some JavaScript to get additional information about whether and when the button was pressed. What is the goal behind your question?

Thanks!

The consent form is on a text only page with only the "Next" button. By pressing "Next" participants give their consent. Yes, the next page won't appear if the button hasn't been pressed, but I simply wanted to have some record of the fact that it has been pressed. For the future I will use a question for the consent form so that I have the record for sure. But since this study has already been done I wanted to check if I can access this information somehow. Since I don't record the time, there won't be a value for that. But the column for the page does appear, yes.

As your study has already run, you will have to do with the fact that respondents somehow got to the next page (variable MAXPAGE >= your page with the "next" button). If you did not employ any JavaScript in the page, then pressing the "next" button is the only way to get there.

Yes, that should be sufficient. Thanks a lot for your quick replies!
