Why does slider turn into drop down selection in pretest?

Question

I have added a VAS-slider, but in the pretest it sometimes turns into a drop down selection.
I know the slider needs the browser to approve JS, but I have used the same browser.

I have 6 different questionnaires that I get randomly assigned to when using the pretest. I have 7 pages with sliders, and all the questionnaires use the same 7 slider-items, but I don't think this is the issue.

Please check the settings in compose questionnaire.

You have probably told SoSci Survey to start (!) this questionnaire in the screenreader mode. As a screenreader cannot properly handle a slider, a dropdown is used in that case. Usually, we recommend the default setting to start in normal display mode and allow for switching to screenreader settings.
