Hello there!

First of all thanks a lot for this beaitful tool. I've used it numerous times and it's always been a great experience!

Now it's my first that I lack information:

I set up a survey in two languages, English and Chinese. I used the language version option to do that.

Now I wonder, whether the variables will indicate the language version that was used?

Each language version represents an own sample, so in the end the English speaking participants and the Chinese spearking participants will be statistically analysed.

In there anyway to divide the data according to the language version used?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Hi,

if you use multiple languges, your dataset will have automatically an additional "help variable" called "Language" which has the abbreviation of the language which has been chosen in the beginning.

If that doesn't make any sense to you, tell me, then I'll try to eyplain it in more detail.

If you want to divide the data between the languages, the easiest way is to use a data analysis tool like stata, spss, R (after downloading the data)- but also with Excel it should be feasible.

All the best

that makes perfect sense and was my desired answer! Thanks!

I might be useful to add this to the WIKI page for multilungal surveys.
